Job Description

Budget Camera is currently seeking a Camera Rental Technician; an individual who is knowledgeable about cameras and film production equipment, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will support customers by providing technical recommendations, guidance, and order processing while ensuring reliable equipment support and excellent service for productions across film, television, commercial, and digital content.

We are looking for a hardworking, initiative-driven, and detail-oriented leader who is confident and passionate about supporting creators and productions.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Prepare, test, clean, and inspect cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories for rental

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance under the guidance of senior technicians

  • Assist with equipment setup and operation at on-site and off-site locations, including productions and shoots

  • Document equipment condition during check-out and return

  • Support inventory management and organization of gear storage

Customer Support Responsibilities

  • Create quote, Order and invoicing

  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions

  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly, escalating when necessary

  • Ensure clients have a smooth, positive rental experience


 
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:

Basic to intermediate knowledge of cinema and photography cameras, lenses, and accessories

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Detail-oriented and responsible with high-value equipment

Preferred / Optional

Film, media, or photography education or experience

Familiarity with Sony, Canon, RED, or ARRI camera systems

Prior experience in a rental house, production, or customer support environment

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $20,000 – $35,000 annually (pro-rated for part-time hours)

Employment Type: Part-time, with flexible scheduling based on rental and production needs
