We are looking for an experienced, creative, and skilled Senior Social Media Manager with a passion and talent for marketing to join our dynamic team!


As a Senior Social Media Manager, you will work with clients from a variety of different industries. You will be responsible for the successful creation, curating and managing of relevant content across multiple social media platforms. The successful candidate will have a positive disposition and demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.


The successful candidate for this position will have the following skills and abilities:


  • You have experience working with medium-large diverse clients to design tailored social media schedules that meet brand objectives and audience needs. 
  • Skilled at creating, filming, editing, and managing high-quality, engaging social content.
  • You have planned and led content shoots, including sourcing talent, creating shot lists and producing on-brand visuals.
  • You can analyze metrics to drive strategy adjustments and enhance conversions, ensuring client goals are met.
  • You stay current with social trends and insights, applying them to keep campaigns effective and relevant.
  • You enjoy leading social media workshops, client meetings, and team collaboration sessions, with strong follow-through on action items.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Clients Across Various Industries: Develop tailored social media schedules that align with each client’s unique objectives, audience, and brand identity.
  • Content Creation and Management: Design, create, and manage engaging social media content for clients, ensuring alignment with brand voice and objectives.
  • Planning and Executing Content Shoots: Brainstorm, plan, source talent, create shot lists, film and edit content for social media. 
  • Profile Optimization: Optimize client social media profiles to improve efficiency, visual appeal, and reach, using industry best practices to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Performance Monitoring and Conversion Optimization: Implement, track, and analyze key metrics to improve conversions and meet client goals, adjusting strategies as needed based on data insights.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with internal teams, such as design, content, and strategy, to create cohesive social media campaigns that integrate seamlessly with Candybox’s broader marketing objectives. Collaborate with videographers, editors, graphic designers on client projects, ensuring timely delivery of content that meets quality standards.
  • Candybox Social Content Development: Develop and execute content for Candybox’s social media channels, focusing on creating videos, reels, and other high-engagement formats.
  • Video Production Coordination: Partner with videographers to plan, produce, and review Candybox’s brand and the clients social media videos, ensuring content is on-brand, engaging, and effective.
  • Trend Analysis & Strategy Updates: Stay informed about emerging social media trends, tools, and case studies, and apply these insights to client strategies to keep campaigns relevant and effective.
  • Social Media Workshop Management: Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of Social Media Workshops, including attendee communication, venue booking, presentation development, and post-workshop follow-ups.
  • Monthly Client Reporting: Create and deliver detailed monthly reports to clients, highlighting key metrics, performance insights, and recommendations for ongoing improvements.
  • Content Strategy and Campaign Planning: Develop comprehensive content strategies for clients, including shot lists and creative briefs, to guide content creation and ensure brand consistency.
  • Content Production Support: Assist in planning and executing content production days, coordinating with creative teams to ensure content is captured according to the campaign’s goals.
  • Engagement and Community Management: Monitor and engage with client communities on social platforms, fostering positive interactions and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Paid Social Awareness and Integration: Understand the fundamentals of paid social media to inform organic strategies and identify when paid campaigns could complement client objectives.
  • Department Administration: Maintain up to date Toggl and Monday Boards as per department process requirements

Lead meetings, prepare and present meeting agendas and conduct meeting wrap-ups and follow-ups
Step up and take on the overall accountability for project success
Take initiative to expand your existing knowledge base beyond the scope of essential knowledge for your role
Develop and implement advanced marketing strategies and role expertise
Provide support/coaching on small tasks/issues for the department team members as needed or as called upon by the Team Lead, CEO or COO (For example, assist with the onboarding training of New Hires)
Assist the sales teams with meetings/numbers as needed or called upon by the Sales Team or Team Lead
Lead 3-4 key initiatives per year (OPSPs) (For example: assist the sales team with the creation of new services)




Requirements for the role

Must have 2 years of Agency Experience or 3-5 years of Freelance experience
Marketing graduate or relevant experience
Familiar with the top social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube)
Experience in design and content creation
Experience filming and editing iPhone content
Experience with scheduling platforms (Hootsuite, Later, Soho)
Experience with Canva, or Adobe Products
Easily learns new software (Reporting, tracking etc)
Proficient in an Apple and Google Drive environment

Client Relationship Management: Strong communication skills to maintain proactive client relationships, manage expectations, present reports, and adjust strategies based on feedback.
Trend Awareness & Innovation: Knowledge of the latest trends, platform updates, and emerging social media technologies, with a readiness to experiment with new formats.
