Meradia – Marketing Specialist
Location: Toronto, CA (hybrid) or open to relocation to Toronto
Meradia has been a trusted partner in the investment management industry since 1997, offering strategic advisory and implementation services that blend technical expertise with a dedication to client success. Our mission is to help clients navigate complex challenges, streamline operations, and achieve their goals.
Meradia is seeking a versatile and collaborative Marketing Specialist to support the continued evolution of our brand, messaging, and marketing execution as we grow across North America. This role is designed for someone who thrives on ownership, understands how analytics and execution tie to larger business and practice-level goals, and brings both structure and initiative to their work.
At Meradia, we prioritize and invest in our employees' growth and offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and continuous professional development opportunities, including mentorship and industry events. If you seek a fulfilling career in consulting, we encourage you to apply to join our team!
As Meradia expands its presence in Canada, particularly in Toronto, this role will play an important part in supporting bilingual content, local events, and cross-border collaboration between our U.S. and Canadian teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of marketing experience in a B2B services environment
- 3–5 years of experience in asset management, wealth management, pensions, or financial services
- Fluency in French (written and verbal), ideally Canadian French, to support bilingual content and communications for the Canadian market
- Demonstrated experience using analytics to inform marketing decisions, messaging, and recommendations
- Hands-on experience supporting website design, refreshes, and ongoing maintenance using WordPress and Elementor
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and content marketing best practices
- Experience creating polished, on-brand visuals and video using tools such as Canva, iMovie, CapCut, or Adobe Premiere
- Comfort using project management tools such as Asana or Microsoft Planner to manage timelines and deliverables independently
- Strong editing and copywriting skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, audience-specific messaging
Note: If your passion lies primarily in social media or content creation for brand channels, this may not be the best fit. Social media support represents approximately 15% of this role. We’re looking for someone excited by broader marketing execution, analytics, logistics, and internal communications alongside creative responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Website, Storytelling & Digital Experience
- Support the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and design refresh of Meradia’s website using WordPress and Elementor
- Collaborate with marketing leadership to improve site structure, page layouts, and visual hierarchy in support of practice strategy
- Translate practice narratives and thought leadership into clear, engaging website experiences
- Ensure website content remains current, on-brand, and aligned with analytics and engagement trends
- Partner with external vendors or developers as needed while maintaining internal ownership of site updates and enhancements
Content Support, Storytelling & Execution
- Copyedit thought leadership, social content, and email campaigns to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with practice strategy
- Support the design and layout of content using Canva or similar tools, balancing visual appeal with narrative clarity
- Assist with video initiatives including scripting, filming coordination, editing, and scheduling to bring strategic concepts to life
- Maintain and update marketing materials across internal and external channels
- Support personal branding efforts across the firm by helping consultants shape insight-driven LinkedIn content
- Capture and edit professional headshots and internal photography as needed to support consistent visual storytelling
- Take ownership of a wide range of tasks, from detailed content edits to last-minute event support, with consistent focus and follow-through
Campaign & Event Logistics
- Manage administrative aspects of conferences and events, including travel coordination, hotels, swag, and timelines
- Coordinate local materials and logistics for Toronto-based events, which may include booth setup, material pickups, or solo office errands
- Own deadlines, content calendars, and campaign deliverables using tools such as Asana and Microsoft Teams, proactively flagging risks, dependencies, and gaps
- Navigate ambiguity and last-minute changes with confidence by asking clarifying questions, proposing solutions, and driving work forward
Analytics, Insights & Reporting
- Monitor, interpret, and communicate social media, website, and campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Agency Analytics, or similar platforms
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve engagement, refine messaging, and recommend next steps aligned to practice goals
- Translate performance data into clear insights that inform future campaigns, content priorities, and positioning decisions
Collaboration & Culture
- Contribute to creative brainstorms and cross-functional planning conversations
- Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders, including pushing back when scope, timelines, or requests are misaligned with strategy or data
- Support internal culture efforts including team bonding activities, office events, and company communications
- Play a hands-on role in building culture within the Toronto office, balancing self-direction with in-person collaboration
- Bring structure to projects by proactively checking progress, keeping work organized, and ensuring momentum
