Telecom and Gift Cards: The Mobile Shop, PC mobile prepaid cell phone service, and Gift Cards businesses are focused upon delivering convenience and exceptional value to LCL customers.

As the Senior Manager, Social Media & Event Marketing you’ll act as a subject matter expert in driving that mission forward in the realm of Social Media, Content, and Event Marketing with the support of two direct reports. We’re looking for a passionate and dynamic leader who will break banking & insurance category conventions and inspire Canadians to make their money work harder today. Specifically, you’ll do the following:

Social Media Marketing: Combining customer insights & cultural trends, steer the strategy to develop hyper-creative Social Media programs across the leading social media platforms. You’ll be responsible for collaborating with agency teams to optimize performance against key metrics.  

Content Marketing: Dig deep into customer insights, search trends, and first party data to guide the content marketing strategy that establishes PC Financial as a lifestyle brand and authority in everyday banking. Demystify and humanize everyday banking and insurance by experimenting with formats and styles to reach performance indicators. Drive integration with the larger President’s Choice and Loblaw content marketing ecosystem.

Event Marketing: Responsible for leading the overall in-store event marketing programs to support our pavilion representatives in engaging customers in-store and with out-of-store with activations. Collaborate with our Sales Enablement, Sales, and Loblaw Retail teams in program design and delivery.

Brand and Planning:  Support the ongoing governance of our agency partners including their scopes of work, contracts, and performance evaluations. Act as an internal brand champion and own our brand guidelines and help enforce consistency. You’ll also be responsible for organizing our annual planning process and overseeing the maintenance of our marketing calendar.

People Management: An experienced people leader who is capable of coaching and empowering a team to delivery in their personal development and business objectives.
 
Job Requirements
What You'll Need:

7+ years experience in Social Media & Content Marketing
Expert knowledge of leading social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest, Snapchat) and emerging ones (Tik Tok, etc)
In tune with leading culture & social media trends
Foundational knowledge of SEO and web analytics
Experience in managing external agencies for In-store & Event planning programs
Watches experiential marketing trends and can translate those into inspiring briefs for external agencies
Experience in empowering & coaching teams to success
Performance obsessed and familiar with the leading key performance indicators across the social, content, and event channels
Comfortable using data to run A/B testing and experiments to optimize performance
