Allstate Canada is looking for a Specialist, Social Media to join our team and play a pivotal role in growing the social media presence of the brand. The successful candidate will help drive the ongoing development and evolution of Allstate Canada’s social media properties, collaborating with and supporting a variety of Allstate stakeholders. Significant focus will be on enabling improved execution and growth of our field social media efforts. The Social Media Specialist will also contribute to the development of the overall Allstate brand by developing the annual content calendar in conjunction with key internal partners, including External Relations. This position will report to the Manager, Social Media.

Accountabilities:
Enabling field social media participation growth by providing direct service and support to Regional Marketing Leads, Agency Managers and Agents, monitoring activity to ensure that agent posts are compliant and on-brand.

Developing the annual content calendar for both corporate and field channels in collaboration with key partners including External Relations and Human Resources.

Manage production of assets required to deliver on annual content calendar: work with internal departments to review/approve content and translate, as well as Graphics to develop creative visual component.

Actively leverage insights and reports to drive content creation and to achieve social KPIs.

Develop strategy and ensure smooth launch of paid campaigns and the continual improvement of performance; overseeing optimization and devising a structured test & learn strategy

Ensure full alignment with national and regional display and online video (OLV) campaigns across social channels.

Manage the day-to-day execution, optimization and reporting of local and social campaigns.

Support development and execution of ACG employee engagement social media strategy, assisting with launch communication, content management and reporting of results.

Work in conjunction with the other Social Media Specialist and act as a back up for all functions of that role.

Coordinating with internal stakeholders to developing accurate, emergency consumer communications in a timely manner.

Develop social media framework and training guides to enable local social media activity (resource documents, consultations, etc.).

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Strong business and personal social media acumen – actively participate on social media, demonstrable knowledge of evolving digital communications landscape.

Exceptional written, digital communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with diverse audiences, particularly those who are not well-versed in social media.

Resourceful, hands-on self-starter with a strong work ethic and a collaborative, team-oriented style.

Experience working with outside agencies and vendors.

French an asset.

University degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Digital Marketing or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years business experience in social media or Marketing or Communications

Knowledge of how to use social media platforms for business purposes, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Proven savvy with multimedia and video production using basic SAAS (software-as-a-service), smartphone and app technologies.

Working knowledge of Hootsuite, Radian6, Hearsay Social or WordPress an asset.
