Job Description

The Senior Marketing Analytics and Strategy Officer is a subject matter expert and mentor in marketing and communications (marcom). They lead marcom campaigns, from research and audience segmentation to channel selection and conversion strategies, based on optimizing a full customer journey. They coach and mentor other marcom professionals to build their skills and improve the effectiveness of their campaigns. They have a deep understanding of data and analytics and use it to identify new opportunities to meet the department’s objectives.

Job Requirements
This position requires a degree or diploma in advertising, digital marketing or similar education, Google Analytics and Google ads certification, and a minimum of five years’ experience with:
• Investigating and acting on marketing data and analytics
• Managing marcom campaigns from start to finish
• Working with large groups of stakeholders to build community and consensus

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
• Subject matter expertise in marketing analytics and strategy
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Google webmaster tools and console
• Strong mentorship and coaching skills
• Knowledge of privacy laws and advertising ethics
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing the principles of truth, reconciliation and respect, equity diversity and inclusion, and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
• Understanding of project management best practices
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proven track record achieving project goals on time and produce deliverables of a high quality
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and with all levels of university personnel
• Ability to present publicly to large and small audiences on marketing strategies, trends, and the work that we do
• Working-level skills with the Microsoft Office Suite

Assets or Preferences:
• Digital marketing certification (Hubspot or equivalent)
