Job Description

As the Multimedia Developer you will:

  • Develop and maintain informational and educational videos for internal training as well as external audiences.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and create website content in support of the Planning, Property & Development Department’s key stakeholders.
  • Update and create audience-appropriate training modules, brochures and general documentation for the Department.
  • Execute the document review processes
 
Job Requirements
Your education and qualifications include:

Post-secondary courses, diploma or degree in the area of Creative Communications, Media or Video Production, Marketing, Graphic Design or equivalent work experience.
Experience in the areas of editing and writing in a clear and concise manner easily understood by the general public.
Experience developing engaging videos, brochures, documentation and presentations.
Experience with Video graphics development (eg. Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro).
Experience building interactive e-learning modules and online courses (eg. Articulate 0360 or Storyline 3 software)
Experience in graphic design along with working knowledge of basic graphic design principles.
Experience in website design including working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
Experience in using the MS Office products (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of clients, including elected officials, senior managers and department staff, as well as contacts outside the organization.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive working relationships.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written – including communicating technical information in plain language (print, web, and social media).
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
The ability to write and speak in French is an asset.
Conditions of employment:
