Job Description

The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for designing internal and external collateral, following the current Oliver & Bonacini style guides and brand standards.  This individual will also support general marketing department initiatives including menu design and proofing, creation of presentations, manuals, advertising and promotional materials. The individual will work alongside senior and intermediate designers in a collaborative environment.

  • Designs printed and digital creative for promotions
  • Assists with the development of new brand identities
  • Formats and designs company newsletters, training materials and manuals
  • Formats, spell checks and updates event venue and restaurant menus – posts all updated menus to website
  • Updates all associated collateral material as it applies to menu changes
  • Liaises with chefs and managers on menu-related content
  • Works exceptionally well under pressure
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or diploma in Graphic Design or Digital Communications
Fluent with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
Good understanding of file preparation for print and digital
Strong eye for design – portfolio required
Strong writing, editing and proofing copy is a necessity - expert attention to detail and an eye for catching inconsistencies
Good understanding of branding and how it carries across multiple channels
Highly organized with exceptional communications skills
Knowledge of HTML; experience with content management systems and email marketing programs (WordPress, Mailchimp, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative environment
Illustration, photography and videography skills encouraged, including post-production editing skills (Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects)
The optimal candidate will be a food and wine enthusiast
Fluency in written French would be a bonus!
