Salary: $110,000.00 annually

We currently run half a dozen web shows on a daily basis, including “What If” the #1 science show on Facebook Watch. ● Owning and driving the overall product roadmap and vision;
● Coming up with new formats and consistently optimizing existing product/market fit to maximize audience engagement, retention and minimize churn of accessing and sharing content;
● In charge of entire content calendar of half a dozen web series brands across platforms and languages
● Leading the organic growth of the various communities
● Working with our international contributor network to create new prototype story formats;
● Leading and managing the development and design of offline products (print, e-commerce and merchandise);
● Collaborating with clients across the world to produce sponsored stories and branded content;
● Translate data insights into publishing strategy and positively moving all metrics that relate to audience engagement, retention and growth;
● Leading and championing the visual identity of the publishing brand and its content across publishing platforms (Social, Website, Email); and
o Travel, as required – to client meetings, industry events, and meetings with strategic partners in Quebec, the United States and Europe (10%)
Job Requirements

● Bachelor of Arts in Design or Communication;
● 10+ years of experience in creative agencies, social media, publishing and design;
● Experience as Head of Product / Creative Director or a similar role at a publishing or creative agency;
● Experience of using Wordpress from both a technical and design point of view;
● Experience of successful and failed monetization strategies to build a scalable and sustainable product;
● Strong background digital storytelling and design;
● Experience working with stringer/reporter networks around the world considered an asset;
● An in-depth understanding of social media and the entertainment industries;
● Understanding of current digital trends and what makes engaging content;
● Proven track record in graphic- and motion design, product development and creative strategy;
● Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a big-picture vision and strategy AND the passion and detail orientation to drive the details of execution;
● Proficiency in the successful implementation of lean product management;
● An entrepreneurial spirit, along with a skill set around innovation, lean testing, analytics, and customer development;
● Proven track record and publisher success on social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Patreon.
● Resourceful, can-do attitude that thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
