Job Description:

Reporting to the Director, Web and Mobile Strategy, the Global Digital Marketing Site Manager is responsible for executing on the strategy and management of the corporate websites ( and within the Global Digital, Brand and Marketing organization. This includes delivering Client-centric and data-driven solutions with measurable results, continuous optimization of our sites and enforcing the website governance framework. This role involves working closely with marketing stakeholders, business unit stakeholders and digital teams to develop innovative, Client-focused solutions to meet business needs and advance Sun Life’s “Digital Edge”. The role requires a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and manage multiple priorities.


Client-centric and data-driven site management for Sun Life’s corporate websites – & – to ensure we are delivering best in class digital experiences while optimizing for search, content and tools. This includes leveraging digital industry research, trends, best practices, insights, and partnering with Centres of Excellence to help plan and deliver continuous enhancement and optimization opportunities across our sites.
Build relationships with global stakeholders, consult with them on key initiatives, strategies and operational requests to help meet business objectives, company goals, and ultimately to ensure a Client-centric, optimized approach that is consistent with Sun Life’s Digital vision and mandate.
Enforce the governance framework established for our sites to ensure an accurate, consistent, relevant and optimal experience for our Clients – this includes adhering to web and mobile guidelines, leveraging the Centre of Excellence engagement model and conducting ongoing life cycle site reviews with global stakeholders.
Manage the Client insight framework for & This includes ongoing reporting, monitoring and gathering of insights from various data sources, including Design Thinking Labs, to better understand user behaviors/profiles, identify optimization opportunities, measure success and ultimately deliver Client-centric digital solutions.
Ensure site design and experience delivers an aligned and impactful brand experience
Lead and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the Client experience across our digital properties, managing internal and external relationships to ensure successful delivery of projects on time, on budget and within scope. This includes consulting, business cases, project briefs, collaborating with IT on technical enhancements from business requirements to execution.
Ensure appropriate processes are in place to support web and mobile public facing programs to optimize across the client journey.
Job Requirements

5+ years experience in digital marketing including site management and project delivery.
Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methods.
Solid understanding of digital channels: web, mobile, search and social.
Direct experience managing client relationships and consulting on digital solutions to meet business needs/goals.
Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices and trends, including SEO and web accessibility.
Strong understanding of digital analytics, metrics, voice of the customer research with the ability to interpret to make key decisions; advanced proficiency with web reporting and analytics tools.
Good understanding of HTML and experience working in content management applications.
Strong consulting skills; make digital recommendations that meets Client needs and expectations, while supporting business needs/goals.
Desire to develop a clear understanding of business issues and priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively, develop solid relationships, manage differences, and influence change.
Innovative problem solving skills and excellent analytical abilities.
Strong leadership and people management skills; ability to develop/retain top talent.
