Since the creation of Canada's first Executive MBA in 1968, the Beedie School of Business has championed lifelong learning, productive change and the need to be innovative as we deliver research and teaching that makes an impact. Operating across three campuses in the major cities of Burnaby, Surrey and Vancouver in British Columbia, SFU Beedie is creating the business leaders of tomorrow through management education programs for undergraduate, graduate students and the corporate community. Inspired by world-class research, deep relationships with our local and international business communities, and commitment to building a sustainable future, SFU Beedie’s core activities focus on three strategic pillars: Global Outlook, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Social Responsibility.

The Director, Marketing & Communications, provides professional leadership in the branding, marketing, advertising, and communications activities of the Faculty. The Director leads the development of appropriate strategies and implements integrated initiatives in close collaboration with the Dean, Assistant Dean, Associate Deans, Research Centre Directors, Undergraduate/Graduate Program Executive Directors, the SFU Business Career Management Centre, Executive Education, and staff in other University departments. The Director, Marketing & Communications, is responsible for leading integrated marketing campaigns for the Beedie School of Business in both digital and traditional environments; developing and implementing brand advertising; and deploying other direct marketing and recruitment advertising activities as needed for programs offered by SFU Beedie. The incumbent has editorial oversight of marketing publications and digital properties including website and social media. The Director also takes leadership of the school's media and public relations activities, including providing strategic communications counsel to the Beedie senior leadership team, and working with national and global media to raise the profile of the school's programs and research.
