Given the current circumstances, employees will be working from home, 100% of time. As working conditions return to normal, they will be expected to be onsite at our Toronto office.

Please note this is a contract/secondment opportunity expected to start in August 2021 and end in September 2022.

Business Overview

The Digital Media Team is part of Fidelity Canada’s Corporate Affairs Team, whose mandate is to protect and promote Fidelity’s reputation through research-driven, world-class communications to internal and external audiences.

This diverse and inclusive Team consists of professionals with experience in public affairs, journalism, market research, social media, video production, capital markets and more. The environment is fast-paced similar to a newsroom where the Team members are agile and produce timely, effective content for various audiences.

What You Will Do

We are looking for a dynamic Digital Media Associate to join our team. Reporting to the Manager Digital Media, they will support the team on aspects of video production, digital events and webcasts, podcasts, as well as live events as required.

The Value You Deliver

  • Support Digital Media Team with webcast live production and post-production duties, as well as podcast production.

  • Expand the reach of video content (webcasts, video interviews, internal videos) for use on social media.

  • Create other animated and motion graphics pieces for social media.

  • Manage all facets of professional digital video product including shot makeup, sound recording, talent management and rough and final cut editing.

  • Support video communications initiatives across the organization including internal events, support L&D as well as webcasts or remote PM Access as needed

Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For

Completion of a two-year post-secondary program in a related field

6+ months of prior freelance, co-op or work experience in a video production environment

Please include demo reel/video production work samples as part of application

The Skills You Bring

Knowledge of digital HD camera systems and studio equipment, camera capture, shot set-up, lighting, audio capture and trouble shooting.

Ability to quickly cut videos to music and design/execute related motion graphics.

Knowledge of Adobe Suite and other video production software.

Basic knowledge of webcast and video conference platforms, including video and audio signal flows between in both a studio environment, home computer environment and conference room environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Understanding of digital technologies and emerging digital trends.

Project management and strong organizational abilities are essential.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team envionrment.
