Content Marketing Specialist (12 Month Term)

Are you able to take a complex topic and transform it into something that’s engaging, straightforward and easy-to-understand? The Content Marketing Specialist role is more than just managing content. You’re the voice of Coast Capital Savings through our various channels. In this role you will act as a key brand ambassador while playing a pivotal role in increasing brand engagement and enhancing our reputation. You’ll support in developing, implementing and managing the content for our website, online banking portal, mobile app, corporate blog, email, direct mail, and other channels.
What you’ll get to do:
Write, edit, and proofread content for direct mail, website, our online banking portal, our mobile app, our corporate blog, direct mail, and email.
Work with the Corporate Communications, Community, Brand, Acquisition and Member Loyalty Teams and other stakeholders to develop, maintain and generate content for offline and online channels.
Optimize digital content leveraging SEO best practices.
Use persuasive writing skills for member-targeted direct mail and email content.
Ensure consistency in application of our editorial standards, including proper usage of Coast Capital Savings trademarks.
Edit content for proper spelling and grammar.
Partner with teams across the business to develop content strategies that are aligned with individual team objectives and that integrate content through various channels.
Manage the digital editorial calendar and ensure key stakeholders are aligned.
Monitor KPIs and optimize content on a continuous basis based on performance.
Partner with Marketing colleagues to identify and explore digital content marketing opportunities to help meet corporate objectives.
Collaborate with Marketing colleagues on developing content including direct mail, blogs and graphics.
Collaborate with stakeholders on proactive and reactive website design, experience and content changes.
Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to manage the timely trafficking and brand consistency of content across all channels.
Working with various stakeholders, act as editor of website responsible for coordinating and writing content changes.
Write and update content for areas of the website.
Manage accuracy of existing site content through collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
Support and participate in extracurricular corporate functions.
Who are we looking for?

Minimum 1 – 3 Years of Job-Related Experience
Direct experience within a marketing or communications department or agency environment.
Post secondary education in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related discipline.
Good understanding of marketing and branding fundamentals.
Experience with writing external-focused communications in a professional context.
Spelling, grammar and content-proofing skills.
Able to manage a high volume of work and multiple competing priorities with different stakeholders, is proactive and plans in advance, is able to effectively multi-task.
Work effectively with limited supervision and within established authorities; is proactive in identifying and pursuing tasks with energy, drive, and a need to “finish”; knows when and what to refer for guidance and/or approval
Make good decisions, in a timely manner, based on analysis, experience, and judgment; sought out by others for advice; capable of analyzing complex problems, leveraging multiple sources to create effective solutions
Demonstrated experience and effectiveness in both oral and written communication including F2F oral presentations to groups, focused and concise written and verbal summaries, effective questioning and listening skills.
Experience with content management tools; good understanding of usability best practices; knowledge of CRM and marketing automation technology; project management and project coordination skills.
