Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
The Senior Business Communications Specialist is responsible for ESAAF wide internal communications. You will be responsible for drafting executive communication that will be posted across all our platforms, including Workplace. Responsible for producing brand-compliant graphic design for a consistent employee experience. The role involves working closely with ESAAF senior leadership team, developing communication plans and content including writing and editing, video production and providing communications advice that is both strategic and tactical.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed
Communications & Engagement –Work with senior leaders and proactively identify storytelling opportunities to promote ESAAF Shared Services and other internal initiatives to engage our broad audience. You will develop compelling content to share internally, including executive emails, town hall decks and videos.
Technical writing / White paper – Provide support to the groups across ESAAF that may require technical writing
Leadership: Lead and/or participate in projects related to ESAAF employee communication by maintaining close working relationships with key business partners to create understanding and influence business strategies, priorities and directions. Ensure business objectives can be converted into improved client experience and business results.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience in: writing, editing, social media for business. It’s an asset if you have video creation and simple video editing experience.

You have a degree/diploma in Journalism, Communications or related study and/or equivalent experience.
