Job Requirements
The Position

The Marketing and Social Media Intern calls for a current student or new graduate with a passion in marketing and social media. With the support and mentorship of our Digital Marketing Team, you will gain valuable industry experience in areas including but not limited to – event planning, market research, and social media.

This is a full-time paid position.

Key Responsibilities

Assists with maintaining Gateway’s Facebook and Instagram corporate pages, including scheduling, editing, publishing and sharing content.
Measures and tracks results of social media tactics on our business.
Helps to monitor internet, social pages, and referral platforms for company and brand reputation management.
Supports the Digital Marketing Department with marketing programs and assigned project based work.
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of event planning activities.
Sources promotional information and works with site Marketing teams.
Helps to aggressively and tactfully promote booked entertainment on all casino and F&B social pages/websites.

What You’ll Require

Currently enrolled in or graduated from a post-secondary education program in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
Proficient with social media and presentation software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and blogs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proactive and action oriented with an attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and customer service skills
Familiar with Marketing principles
Understanding and ability to leverage social media and digital platforms
Computer literacy, including effective working skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and internet navigation
