Flight Centre Travel Group is looking for a Digital Analytics specialist that's passionate about applied data analytics and excels at finding creative solutions to tough problems.

Positioned within Flight Centre’s Digital team, and with a startup-like environment, the Analytics team is helping to lead the way in our space, not just within our walls but Canadian Travel as well.

Reporting into the Director, Digital, the Data Analyst is accountable for delivering actionable insights that support business strategy and objectives and that drive continuous enhancements to transform the customer experience of Flight Centre’s digital properties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis & management, digital optimization, excellent communication and data visualization skills, and a passion for understanding the broader context and uncovering the story - the ‘why’ - behind the data.

The successful candidate for this position will be working in our head office located in Toronto.

What You’ll Be Doing

Analytics & Insights:

Researching, listening, and analyzing to extract usable insights for strategies
Designing and implementing tracking for campaigns, both in terms of usage tracking within digital properties and source tracking for campaign components linking to digital properties
Monitoring existing work for optimization opportunities
Strong post-evaluations that provide insights for future work vs. past observations
Slice and dice spreadsheets and databases to determine correlations that matter
Building and presenting analysis internally and to our clients
Consult with business partners to understand business goals and the intended client journey. Work collaboratively to define and agree on KPIs and target success metrics, as well as the desired reporting format and frequency
Be knowledgeable on several visualization tools (Google Studio, Tableau, Datorama, Adobe, etc.)
Connect the dots between marketing investment and business results using a creative approach
Participate in managing complex projects that will allow to bring insights on the relevance of actions
Is a true leader in data analysis which means he’ll have to key mission to interpret all the data sources, create ad-hoc reporting based on several dimensions that must be analyzed, provide support and advice to the Digital team and to stakeholders
Work with the teams to establish reporting objectives on projects
Analyze and consolidate information from multiple data sources using various reporting tools
Proactively report on relevant multi-channel insights to provide context for performance relative to other lines of business, and to industry-specific benchmarks
Produce recurring reports, dashboards, and ad hoc reports for a wide variety of stakeholders
Highlight and visualize findings and insights in a clear and compelling manner, making it easy for stakeholders to understand
Perform large scale data analysis and develop effective statistical models to support the overall story in reports and dashboards

Relationship Management:

Continuously advocate for business insights and customer experience metrics in all aspects of reporting measurement. Help build trust, rapport, and credibility for digital analytics across the organization
Collaborate with multiple teams to correlate and share reporting, data, and insights
Manage quality assurance and value of all reporting, and adhere to service level agreements

What We’re Looking For

University degree in business, math, marketing, finance, information management, statistics or related quantitative field (Masters is an asset)
Solid understanding of online marketing channels, research, analytical and statistical methodologies and metrics and their application to business measurement
Must have 4+ years’ experience in analytics, with proven track record of deriving business- and client-related insights
Strong data management skills (SQL) and knowledge in basic scripting language (R/Python)
Understanding of web development best practices, including knowledge of website design, HTML, JavaScript, and analytics metrics and terminology
Experience with variety of business analytics tools, including:
Web analytics/Experience Optimization platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)
Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel, Access and PowerPoint) - must know how to use pivot tables and macros
Visualization tools (Tableau, etc.)
OLAP reporting tools (Cognos, etc.)
Experience with text mining tools an asset
Google Analytics 360 and Google stack (DS3/DCM/DBM/360) is mandatory
Tag management is mandatory (GTM, Tealium, Tag Commander, Adobe, etc.)
Conceptual thinker with proven analytical and problem solving skills who can see the "big picture". Ability to translate data analysis into actionable business insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Motivated self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize competing requests in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collaborate with individuals from varying backgrounds and skillsets
Nice to have: working knowledge of travel industry
