Hey, we’re Article. We’re a digital-first furniture brand that’s re-engineering the furniture experience one sofa at a time. We don’t have brick and mortar stores, so we’re able to deliver remarkable value on beautiful, modern furniture. Because of this, we’re growing like crazy and we need a few more hands on deck. Maybe it’s you we’re looking for?

We’re looking for a Communications Specialist to help us tell Article’s story in a compelling and engaging way. You will help execute Article’s Brand Communications strategy while building relationships with key media contacts, and support event coordination and execution.
Job Requirements
You will significantly impact the Article business by:

Building trust with customers.
Driving awareness about the company and its mission.
Introducing new customers to Article (and reminding the existing ones about us).
Securing quality media coverage that drives the above results.

What does a day in the life of a Communications Specialist at Article look like?

Daily media monitoring to capture relevant media coverage.
Execution of Article’s Brand Communications strategy.
Creating and updating editorial calendars across Article’s various content channels.
Creating and maintaining media lists.
Generate media coverage in mainstream/traditional publications, as well as technology and industry-specific media.
Proactively generating new editorial ideas and concepts.
Regular reporting to ensure the Communications team is reaching KPI targets.
Assist with real world events, from ideation to execution and reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years experience in Communications or a similar role.
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field.
A solid understanding of the North American media landscape.
Experience proactively pitching and securing media coverage.
Advanced writing and editing skills.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Existing media relationships in either business/tech media or home decor is considered an asset.
Event planning experience is considered an asset.
